Not everyone can afford a Sportsmobile. Jay Nelson - a local SF surfer and woodworker builds awe inspiring shacks on questionable chasis. “My inspiration began from simply wanting a camper but only having a Honda Civic,” says Nelson, an artist who’s also known for his fanciful tree houses. “I like when people make do and design without the normal skills. I am more inspired by the work of a homeless person who customizes his cart than a trained designer.” Brilliant work!
